ElectroMagnetic Acoustic Transducer
EMAT (or electromagnetic acoustic transducer) is a device that receives and transmits ultrasonic waves in conductive or magnetic materials. This inspection method offers many advantages including non-contact and complaint-free operation, ability to measure coated materials and the ability to excite special wave types that provide advantages in certain test applications. The non-contact EMAT approach provides significant advantages in time, cost, quality and appearance of tested pipe.
The system comprises of: EMAT heads, auxiliary sensing equipment, marking stand, and computer system.
We offer: Thickness measurement systems, elevated temperature probes, EMAT probes, and consulting.
